We are delighted in bringing with Queens Council on the Arts (QCA) the DFR Artist Commissioning Program 2021. The DFR Artist Commissioning Program is a democratized art commissioning project focused on placing artwork designed by local artists on solid roll-down gates of businesses located in Downtown Far Rockaway. This Initiative will help address the
negative perceptions of the areas by creating the opportunity to present post-COVID-19 DFR as a vibrant hub for the growth of art support cultures and destinations to enjoy food and thriving local culture.
The CBO uses multiple distribution channels to share information about its work while branding the neighborhood and presenting materials and events highlighting The Rockaways businesses and attractions.
